Autumn/Winter 2013-14 Peter Pilotto

Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos took a turn to the darker side this morning – exploring the decorated works of Spanish renaissance artists for an autumn/winter 2013-14 collection brimming with new ideas as well as reworkings of previous season signatures (the quilted print puffa for example), to cement their status as one of London’s most exciting fashion talents.

The Spanish influence ran through from the boxy bolero bright jackets – in red and later silver – to bold and sizeable mannish overcoats, to slit and slashed skirts, and those aforementioned embroideries which were indeed thick and vivid like the artworks they set out to pay homage to.

The peplums they were so key in promoting two seasons ago came back but this time as furry interludes to puffa jackets, which in turn also made a welcome return to their wardrobe, bulked up and in new prints.
